Mental Health Awareness Training

Mental health awareness increases the chances for early intervention, which can result in a fast recovery. Awareness reduces negative adjectives that have been set to describe our people with a metal illness. By raising awareness, mental health can now be seen as an illness. These illnesses can be managed by treatment.

15 Min Agenda Presentation

A mental health awareness course is a great way to go about arming you or your organization with an array of skills and knowledge that will ensure you are better equipped to support those around you. In just 15 minutes, we can provide a high level impact presentation displaying the many benefits of mental health awareness training. We are currently providing the 15 Min Agenda Presentations virtually.

1 Hour Lunch & Learn

Mental health issues are becoming increasingly common in every community, affecting people of all backgrounds, genders and abilities without discrimination. The best way to help those who are suffering with any mental health challenge is to be informed and aware of the problem and how it can manifest. The Lunch & Learn session are approximately one hour and cover stigma & statistics, signs and symptoms, an action plan, activity skits, and self care for each mental health area of focus.

National Certifications

With a robust catalog of trainings, many of which include national certifications, we can provide quality training opportunities for multiple learning levels. QPR is an introduction to Suicide awareness, can be completed in about one hour. Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training can be completed in about 6 hours depending on the format and class size.

In Person Sessions

We follow current CDC guidelines for our in-person training events. Although they are considered “large” gatherings due to individuals participating from various households and work environments, our classes do not exceed 30 participants. IN cases where we cannot provide 6 feet of space, participants will have to where a mask during training, while appropriate. We enforce a Hand Hygiene and Respiratory Etiquette practice that will keep participants safe as possible. We provide additional masks as well as additional cleaning supplies that include hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol, a way to dry hands (e.g., paper towels, hand dryer), tissues, disinfectant wipes, and no-touch trash cans.

Blended Learning Sessions

Blended learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-based classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both instructor and participant. Our most common model is the The Flipped Classroom Model.
Flipped classrooms give instructors the opportunity to facilitate the completion of educational components and to support participants as they practice using concepts learned independently. In a blended learning environment, instructor-led exercises can take place in person while individual study occurs at home using online modules or video lectures.

Virtual Online Sessions

Our priority is following Best Practices in Implementing Virtual Learning. Due to the nature of most of our courses, participants will have to be on camera during the entire session. The topics covered could potentially be a trigger and instructors need to monitor all students. Off camera breaks are scheduled and also improvised as needed based on the environment of the virtual classroom. Our certification sessions require a minimum of two instructors. The non-facilitating instructors primary role is to monitor and communicate with the participants. If at any point a participant needs additional resources, an instructor and that participant will enter a private breakroom to manage the situation at hand.

Let’s make something beautiful together.
